Seeking: OA for shipping. Crosscanon (M/F, 20+) OA analogues (heroines with reluctant romantic chemistry) and morally dubious women.
Offering: Part one, part two, (part three just not with actors' names, too weird), captive domesticity, patient/doctor power dynamics, fake Stockholm vs a splash of genuine Lima syndrome. Enemies to lovers that are still enemies, dubcon over noncon, the hatesex version of soulmates. Role reversal: lock his ass up. Nina throwing him for a whole loop. Handmaid's Tale AU seeing as I just watched a couple seasons of that. Alignment swap and/or transdimensional amnesia shenanigans.

Seeking: Hap, as well as crosscanon Homer and Hap analogues and crosscanon in general. This show's given me the full brainrot.
Offering: For OA, all the above Hap stuff from the other side, as well as: bonding in captivity, friendship turning romantic, unbearable pining while kept on opposite sides of a glass wall, meeting in another universe with one of them unremembered (part two or part three), basically the whole Homer thing, minus Homer (love the idea of his character, just didn't fall in love with what we got on the screen).

Seeking: Ideally a Shanks, but really anybody interested in a character-centric PSL focused on relationship evolution (either romantic or platonic, but romantic highly preferred). Cross Guild stuff is also lovely, either in a dark direction or an increasingly cooperative one, as long as development is happening.
Offering: Big feelings, slow-burns and/or smut (he's shameless), and the capacity for a pretty swag redemption arc if literally anybody takes an interest in helping him get there. I've been consuming the anime in chunks just to get a better grasp of the lore because Buggy is better informed than he seems, presumably on purpose, but I'm very into involving headcanon and our own spin on/diversion from things! I would also love, L O V E to build an AU where Buggy and Shanks didn't go their separate ways as teenagers and instead stayed partners into adulthood. Lots of potential for ripple effects!

i'm still slogging through a million years of anime so i'm far from an expert myself, and there's SO MUCH LORE 😭 but if you're not opposed to spoilers, i recommend at least reading the roger pirate era section of shanks' wiki page, since that's where he spent his whole life up to age 16 and it's where he and buggy formed their friendship/relationship/annoyanceship/whatever.
what kind of dynamic are you hoping to start with? i can go easy on details regardless! and yes i like to think that they would have been in a relationship for quite a while in the AU 🩵❤️

Definitely not opposed to spoilers! I've read the Roger Pirates & the Buggy sections now and am skimming the rest, thank you for the idea <3 I love that they basically grew up together and bickered all the time. Yeah I've got nooooo chance of catching up with thousands of episodes lmao.
HMMM I guess it's interesting to me (I have thought about this possibly way too much lol) that on the surface they have such opposing ideals, personalities, etc. Like there has to be something about each of them that makes the other one want to keep coming back, even though they don't agree. Shanks is (mostly) very laid back and will put up with a lot, but even given that, he knows so many people! What makes him continue to WANT to be around Buggy beyond that they used to be so close?
Buggy is cranky and operates very differently from Shanks, and Shanks annoys him - what makes him want to be around Shanks, beyond that they used to be close?
Obviously there are answers to these things, otherwise fic and rp etc wouldn't exist (I'm so smrt). Also they're hardly the first ever pair in media to be so different. It's just interesting!
