You should have a "cross-canon" category for people who specifically want cross-canon. Just saying, it's the only way a lot of obscure canons can get actual play (because there is no one else from their canon, cross-canon is their only option), and a lot of people actually do prefer cross-canon to same canon.
I actually made this community having cross-canon in mind since I personally play a lot of obscure characters. Going by canon just seemed like the best option for organization's sake but cross-canon is generally fine with people unless otherwise specified. With this in mind, I didn't think it was necessary to make a section specifically for it however I don't mind adding it if enough people see it as a problem!
Agreeing that adding a section to emphasize cross-canon vs canonmates preferences would be super helpful! Pretty sure EMP does that as well, but it has been awhile since looking there.

CANONMATES ONLY/CROSS-CANON/AU WELCOME below or above the "seeking" part of the form?
Alrighty then, the format has been updated to include crosscanon/canonmate preferences! I wasn't sure if I should add a whole "crosscanon" section altogether but hopefully this works just as well. Thank you both for your input!
