Couple of thoughts. Imps get to the underside before the Falcon? Vader uses the Force to drag Luke off that spire before he drops? Any thoughts you have?

Vader using Force to drag Luke back up the spire could be great, because he does in his own Dark Side Way love Luke.

But also the PANIC after he's 'captured' Luke.

Vader meanwhile is "dunk child in Bacta tank, take child to lava planet to see dad's glorious birthplace?"

Meanwhile Palpatine: this better not awaken anything in him

Meanwhile Luke: do not want

Meanwhile Jedi afterlife: VADER NO

Meanwhile Yoda: that family never listens
